What do I need to open a checking account online?

Must be 18 or older to apply online.

You’ll need:

  • Your Social Security number
  • Valid ID (driver's license, state ID, Consular ID)
  • Current residential address
  • $25 opening deposit

17 and under must open at a branch (refer to checking account details for minimum age requirements to open). IDs required to open (plus co-applicant’s information if applicable).

How do I open a joint checking account?

Joint checking accounts must be opened at a branch.

You need the same information that is required to open an individual checking account, but you’ll need it for both applicants. IDs required to open.
