Guide to Digital Wallets

This is how your digital wallet works

A digital wallet is a way to carry your credit and debit card information in a secure digital form on your mobile device (smartphone, smartwatch, tablet). Instead of using your physical plastic card to make purchases, a digital wallet allows you to pay almost anywhere — in stores, in apps, or online. You can also access Wells Fargo ATMs that display the contactless symbol when you add your Wells Fargo Debit or EasyPay® Card to your digital wallet. Here’s an overview of how digital wallets work.

How to get started

Add your eligible Wells Fargo cards to the digital wallet you’d like to use.

Access your digital wallet and choose your Wells Fargo card when you check out at a participating business.

Receive payment confirmation on your device.

Pay Securely

Digital wallets replace your actual card number with a unique digital card number. This means businesses do not see or store your full card number.

Easy to Use

Confirm your identity with a PIN, fingerprint or iris/face scan. Then tap to pay at a participating business.

Global Acceptance

Use digital wallets to pay at millions of businesses — in stores, online and in apps.

Try It at a Wells Fargo ATM

Just add your Wells Fargo Debit or EasyPay® Card to a digital wallet and access Wells Fargo ATMs displaying the contactless symbol.

 Peace of Mind

And when you use your Wells Fargo cards with a digital wallet, you will continue to have the added security of 24/7 fraud monitoring and Zero Liability protection.

Choosing a digital wallet

Options to pay with your digital wallet are generally based on your device's operating system and manufacturer.
