  • Text messages are messages and alerts that Wells Fargo sends to your mobile phone about your accounts. To receive text messages, you need to give us consent to send text messages to your mobile number. We also use text messages to send one-time passcodes.
  • Text banking is a service that allows you to bank using text commands. You can request your balance, make transfers, and more. To enable text banking, sign on from your computer or tablet and go to Account Settings in the menu, or sign on from your smartphone and go to Settings.

How much does this service cost?

Wells Fargo does not charge for this service, but data and messaging rates for your carrier may apply.

Can I get text messages on more than one mobile number?

Yes. You can receive texts at up to four eligible mobile numbers.

Can I get text messages internationally?

Wells Fargo sends text messages to U.S.-based mobile numbers only. You can receive Wells Fargo text messages internationally if you have a U.S.-based mobile number and have the proper coverage with your mobile carrier.
