We help customers with property damage and disasters – those that affect large numbers of people, as well as those that just affect your own home. If an incident such as a lightning strike, fire, or flood damages your home, we can assist with coordinating and processing your insurance claims and repairs.
Financial hardships and payment help
Disasters don’t only hit homes. A disaster can affect your financial situation as well as your home by damaging your workplace or causing a drop in your income. If you experience any financial hardship due to a disaster or property damage, we may be able to help with flexible mortgage and home equity payment options.

Disaster relief period for loan payments
We provide a disaster relief period if you are impacted by any disaster or damage to your home. During that time, we
- Don’t charge fees for late payments
- Don’t send late payment notifications to credit bureaus
- Offer enhanced loan payment options based on your situation
We encourage you to continue your monthly payments according to your loan agreement. Keep in mind that any unpaid payments will become due at the end of the relief period.
Long-term recovery after disaster relief ends
If you’re still having financial difficulty at the end of the disaster relief period, we may be able to extend relief with a loan modification or a repayment plan for up to 12 months.
No matter how significant your property damage – even with a complete loss of your home – we’ll work with you to review all of your options.
