Helpful tips for using the Locator

How can I find an ATM or branch location?

Use our ATM and Branch Locator tool to find a location near you. Or, on a Wells Fargo ATM select More Choices > ATM Services & Settings > View/Print Nearby ATMs.

How can I improve my search results to find a Wells Fargo location nearest me?

  • Make sure the words you entered are spelled correctly.
  • You can search by entering an address, landmark, intersection, ZIP code or city and state.
  • Spell out any address abbreviations (Road instead of Rd, for instance).
  • Consider using the “Narrow your search” filter to find locations with specific features that interest you. Be careful, using too many filters may severely limit your results.

You can also find a location by calling us at 1-800-TO-WELLS (1-800-869-3557).

How can I use the interactive map without a mouse?

  • Keep pressing the Tab key until you are on the last checkpoint on the map. Press the Tab key once more and you will have keyboard control of the map.
  • To shift the map to the left, right, up, or down, use the arrow keys on your keyboard.
  • To zoom in, use the "+" key on your keyboard.
  • To zoom out, use the "-" key on your keyboard.

How do I search for an ATM or banking location with the interactive map?

  • Click on your state
  • In pop-up menu, choose from the list of popular cities or search for your city alphabetically
  • Click on your city to find results

How can I find a location that handles mortgages?

Which locations offer services for small businesses?

Most of our locations can service the needs of small businesses. Please contact the location to confirm the availability of the service and to make an appointment with a business-banking officer. You can also call 1-800-225-5935, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What is Wells Fargo's holiday schedule?

Wells Fargo branches will be closed on the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Presidents' Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Columbus Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

It's always a good idea to check the hours of your specific branch as some locations may have reduced hours around the holidays (for example: Christmas Eve).

To do this, use the ATM & Branch Locator tool to search for a branch near you. After locating the branch, select the "Services and Information" link to find the holiday hours for that specific location.

International location information

Does Wells Fargo have branches and/or ATMs outside of the United States?

Wells Fargo does not operate ATMs or branches outside of the United States. However, you can use your Wells Fargo Debit, ATM, or Prepaid Card to check balances and withdraw cash at non-Wells Fargo ATMs that display the Plus® logo.*

What types of transactions can be completed at a Wells Fargo ATM?

You can get cash, transfer funds, check your balance, make deposits and more at over 13,000 Wells Fargo ATMs.

How can I use a digital wallet to access a Wells Fargo ATM?

  • You can use a digital wallet instead of your physical Wells Fargo Debit Card or Wells Fargo EasyPay® Card to access a Wells Fargo ATM that displays the Contactless Symbol.
  • First, you need to add your Wells Fargo Debit or Wells Fargo EasyPay Card to a digital wallet supported by Wells Fargo. (See Digital Wallet Basics page for instructions on how to add your card to a digital wallet.) 

To use your mobile device at a Wells Fargo ATM that displays the Contactless Symbol: 

  • Access your phone’s digital wallet (using your thumbprint or passcode).
  • Hold your phone near the Contactless Symbol on the ATM.
  • Enter your card’s PIN into the ATM when prompted, and then select and complete an ATM transaction.

Can I tap a contactless debit card to access a Wells Fargo ATM?

Yes. You can use a contactless debit card plus your PIN to tap for access at any Wells Fargo ATM. Just look for the contactless symbol on the ATM. To learn more, please visit Wells Fargo Contactless Cards.

How much can I deposit at a Wells Fargo ATM? Is there a limit?

There is a physical limitation on the number of items you can deposit. You can insert up to 30 checks and bills combined in a single transaction.

When are ATM deposits credited?

Cash deposits are available for use immediately. Check deposits made on weekdays by 9 p.m. local time (8 p.m. in Alaska) are considered received on the same day. If made on a bank holiday or weekend, the check deposit will be considered received the next business day.

Do I use an envelope when making deposits at a Wells Fargo ATM?

No. Insert cash and checks directly into the ATM. ATM screen instructions will guide you through the deposit process. Note: Please make sure the checks are face up with the account number line on the right.

Can I verify the accuracy of my deposit before completing the transaction?

Yes. You can see each check and the amount on-screen for instant verification. For cash deposits, you’ll see a count of each denomination.

What should I do if I experience problems depositing?

Problems with Wells Fargo deposit taking ATMs are rare, but if you do experience difficulties please visit your local branch during business hours or call 1-800-TO-WELLS (1-800-869-3557).

What are the purchase and ATM cash withdrawal daily dollar limits for my card?

There is a daily maximum limit on the dollar amount of the purchases you can make each day with your debit or ATM card. Your card also has a maximum limit on the dollar amount of cash withdrawals you can make each day at an ATM. To see your card's purchase and ATM withdrawal daily dollar limits, you can:

  • View online:
    1. Sign on to Wells Fargo Online.
    2. Select Open Card Details for your card.
    3. Find your daily limits under Limits for This Card.
  • Call the number on the back of your card (or your account statement).
  • Visit your local Wells Fargo branch.
  • View the printed materials that came with your card.

How do I increase or decrease the ATM cash withdrawal and purchase daily dollar limits on my card?

To request to increase or decrease your card’s daily dollar limits, contact us and we’ll check if they are eligible to be changed. You can call the number on the back of your card, or talk to a banker at a Wells Fargo branch.

What denominations are available for withdrawal at the ATM?

Most Wells Fargo ATMs dispense both 20s and 50s. There are a select number of ATMs that may offer additional denominations such as 1s, 5s and 100s.

Which accounts can I link to my debit or ATM card?

You can link your debit or ATM card to up to 22 accounts:

  • 5 Checking
  • 5 Savings
  • 5 Money Market Accounts
  • 5 Credit Cards
  • 2 Lines of Credit (Home equity lines only. Exception: Any Home Equity Line of Credit secured by property in New York or Texas are prohibited for linkage by state law).

To see your linked accounts:

  1. Sign on to Wells Fargo Online.
  2. Select Open Card Details for your card.
  3. Find which accounts are linked to your card.

If you have an Opportunity Checking® or Opportunity SavingsSM account, you can link your debit card to your Opportunity Checking® and Opportunity SavingsSM account. You can see the accounts linked to your card by signing on and visiting the Card Profile page. If you have a GreenhouseSM Debit Card, the primary linked checking account must be the Greenhouse Spending Account, and the secondary linked checking account must be the Greenhouse Set Aside Account. For a Wells Fargo Business Deposit Card, you can link up to 15 deposit accounts.

Can I transfer between accounts at the ATM?

Yes, you can transfer funds between accounts linked to your card at any Wells Fargo ATM.

What payments can be made at a Wells Fargo ATM?

You can make a Wells Fargo Credit Card payment at any Wells Fargo ATM using your Wells Fargo Debit Card.

You can make a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) payment only if the HELOC is linked to your Wells Fargo Debit Card.

Can I complete a credit card cash advance at a Wells Fargo ATM?

If you know the PIN for the credit card you want to complete a cash advance from, you can do so at any Wells Fargo ATM.

Can I change my existing PIN on an ATM?

If you know your current card PIN, you can quickly change it at any Wells Fargo ATM. Select More Choices > ATM Services & Settings > Change PIN.
