Wells Fargo Consumer and Business Account Fees

This list describes common services you may use along with the associated fees. Fees may vary, because some locations, accounts, and programs offer fee waivers and reimbursements for some services. For a complete list of services, fees, fee waivers, and reimbursements that are available with your account, please consult the applicable Consumer Account Fee and Information Schedule and corresponding Addenda or the Business Account Fee and Information Schedule and corresponding Addenda. ATM Access (Wells Fargo)

Description

Bill Pay (Business and Consumer)

Description

Pay your bills and invoices online from your business or personal accounts.

Wells Fargo Fee

None.

Additional Information

There's no monthly service fee to use Bill Pay. Charges will apply, however, for the Wells Fargo Same Day Payments ServiceSM. Please refer to our fees page for fees associated with our online services. Account fees (e.g. monthly service, overdraft) may also apply to your account(s) that you make Bill Pay payments from. Please refer to the Account Agreement, including the Fee and Information Schedule, applicable to your account(s).

Cash Deposit Processing Fee (Business accounts only)

Description

Some business checking and savings accounts include a specified amount of cash deposits processed monthly without a fee. Once cash deposits processed exceeds this amount, a cash deposit processing fee will apply.

Fee

The amount of cash deposits processed included with the account without a fee varies by account type.

Cashed/Deposited Item Returned Unpaid (Business accounts only)

Description

If you cash or deposit an item into your account and it is returned unpaid to the Bank for any reason, your account is charged a fee.

Cashier's Checks

Description

Order a cashier’s check online or in-person at any Wells Fargo banking location.

Wells Fargo Fee

$10 each.

Additional Information

For online orders of cashier’s checks to be delivered to an address in the U.S., there will be an $8 delivery charge in addition to the $10 Wells Fargo fee. Please allow up to 3 business days for delivery to Alaska and Hawaii. Delivery of checks is limited to addresses within the United States. We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes.

Outstanding Cashier’s checks are subject to state or territorial unclaimed property laws.

If the cashier’s check is lost, stolen, or destroyed, you may request a stop payment and reissuance. A stop payment and reissuance can only be completed within a branch location. As a condition of stop payment and reissuance, Wells Fargo Bank will impose a $31.00 stop payment fee and require an indemnity agreement. In addition, for cashier’s checks over $1,000.00, the waiting period before the stop payment and reissuance of an outstanding cashier’s check may be processed is 90 days (30 days in the state of Wisconsin and 91 days in the state of New York).The waiting period can be avoided with the purchase of an acceptable surety bond. This can be purchased through Wells Fargo’s approved insurance carrier or through an insurance carrier of the customer’s choice. The cost of a surety bond varies depending on the amount of the bond and the insurer used. Surety bonds are subject to the insurance carrier’s underwriting requirements before issuance. If the surety bond is not provided, the waiting period applies.

Coin/Currency Orders (Business accounts only)

Description

Fee charged for coin or currency furnished by a Wells Fargo branch.

Debit Card International Purchase Transactions

Description

A fee will be charged for each debit card purchase in a foreign currency that a network converts into a U.S. dollar amount.

Debit Card Over-The-Counter Cash Disbursement

Description

Get cash from a teller at a non-Wells Fargo bank location.

Fee

  • U.S./U.S. Territories - $3 per teller transaction
  • International - 3% of transaction amount

Additional Information

We’ll charge a fee if you make a teller-assisted cash disbursement at a non-Wells Fargo bank that accepts Visa-branded cards. You may also be charged a fee by other banks and financial institutions for over-the-counter cash disbursements at their branches. That fee may be added to your total disbursement and will apply to your card’s daily ATM withdrawal limit.

Money Order

Description

A payment instrument ordering the bank to pay a specific sum of money.

Fee

$5 per money order.

Additional Information

Money orders up to $1,000 each may be purchased at any Wells Fargo banking location.

Outstanding Money Orders are subject to state or territorial unclaimed property laws.

Overdraft Fees

Description

We may assess an overdraft fee for any item we pay into overdraft.

Fee

  • $35 per item
  • $15 per item for Wells Fargo Teen CheckingSM
  • We limit the number of overdraft fees assessed per business day to no more than three for Consumer accounts (two for Wells Fargo Teen Checking) and four for Business accounts.
  • Debit Card Overdraft Service: No overdraft fee will be assessed on ATM and everyday (one-time) debit card transactions unless your account is enrolled in Debit Card Overdraft Service. If your account is not enrolled in Debit Card Overdraft Service and there is not enough available money in your checking account or accounts linked for Overdraft Protection, your ATM and everyday (one-time) debit card transactions will be declined, and there are no fees for declined transactions. Debit Card Overdraft Service is automatically added to eligible Business Accounts at account opening. You can add or remove the service at any time. Debit Card Overdraft Service is not available for certain accounts, such as Wells Fargo Clear Access BankingSM accounts, Teen CheckingSM accounts, IOLTA/RETA accounts, accounts for government entities, or savings accounts.
  • There are no overdraft fees for Clear Access Banking accounts. Note: If you convert to a Clear Access Banking account from an account that has checks and overdraft services available, any fees resulting from account activity made or authorized prior to conversion may post to the account after conversion. In this event, any such fees will also be reflected in account activity summaries located within online banking and your account statement.

Additional Information

  • No overdraft fees will be assessed on items of $5 or less.
  • No overdraft fees will be assessed if both your ending daily account balance and available balance are overdrawn by $5 or less after we have processed all of your transactions.

Statements (Online)

Description

View your account statements online, and stop delivery of your statements by U.S. Mail.

Online Statements require Adobe® Acrobat® PDF reader. The length of time Online Statements are available to view and download varies depending on the product: up to 12 months for auto loans and student loans; up to 2 years for credit cards, home equity lines of credit, and personal loans and lines of credit; and up to 7 years for deposit accounts, home mortgage accounts, and trust and managed investment accounts. The length of time the specific product statements are available online can be found in Wells Fargo Online® in Statements & Documents. Availability may be affected by your mobile carrier’s coverage area. Your mobile carrier’s message and data rates may apply.

Stop Payment

Description

Request a stop payment online or by phone for a paper item (check) or pre-authorized ACH (Automated Clearing House) item. You will need to provide the following:

Paper item – payee name, account number, check number or range of check numbers, check date and check amount.

ACH item - account number, payee name, effective date, and amount of item.

Wells Fargo Fee

There is not a stop payment fee on consumer and non-analyzed small business accounts. Fees may vary based on the type of account you have, please refer to your Consumer or Business Fee and Information Schedule, as applicable.

Additional Information

There is no fee for placing stop payments on lost or stolen blank checks. Fees may vary based on the type of account you have, please refer to your Consumer or Business Fee and Information Schedule, as applicable.

Transactions Fee (checking) / Deposited Items Fee (savings) (Business accounts only)

Description

Some business checking and savings accounts include a specified number of transactions and deposited items without a fee. Once transactions and deposited items exceed this number, a transactions fee or deposited items fee applies.

Wire Transfer — Incoming Domestic

Description

A wire transfer sent to a Wells Fargo account from a financial institution in the United States.

$15 per transfer
