The Louis K. Snipes Foundation for Animal Care provides grants to organizations located in Tarrant County, TX that prevent cruelty to animals through animal care services within the State of Texas.
Requirements
- To be eligible, organizations must qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
- To be eligible, organizations must be located in Tarrant County, TX
- To be eligible, organizations must prevent cruelty to animals through animal care services within the State of Texas, including, but not limited to, spaying, neutering and educational services
Limitations
The foundation typically does not fund requests for the following:
- General operating expenses
- Salaries
Grantmaking priorities
Preference may be given to requests for the following:
- Capital improvements such as the construction of shelter facilities.
- Purchase of equipment, including vehicles needed for animal rescue work and cruelty investigation.

Annual application period and deadlines
Applications are accepted year-round. Applications must be submitted by May 1 to be reviewed at the annual grant meeting.

Periodic progress reports and final reports may be required for funded projects.
