We Are Updating Our Online Access Agreement
We wanted to let you know we're updating our Online Access Agreement (“Agreement”), effective November 24, 2026, which covers your use of Wells Fargo's online and mobile services.
You don't need to take any action, we've summarized the key changes for you. If you continue using these services after November 24, 2026, the updated Agreement applies.
Summary of Key Changes
- Security updates: we've updated the agreement to reflect newer security features, such as biometric authentication, trusted devices, and app-based approvals, and to clarify how digital wire requests are verified and processed. (Sections 8(b), 8(i), and 8(k)).
- Third-party AI tools: we've clarified that if you use a third-party AI tool or agent to access your accounts or services, the tool is not operated by Wells Fargo and you'll be authorizing Wells Fargo to share information needed for the service to work. The information shared with the tool will be subject to the provider's privacy practices and terms, requests submitted through the tool may be treated as if they came directly from you, and we included your responsibilities for managing the tool's access to your accounts. We also reserve the right to restrict or block access from certain third-party AI tools. (Section 15, 17(c) and 20(c)).
- Privacy and technology: we collect information to help operate, improve and protect our services, including information through cookies and similar technologies. (Sections 18(a) and 18(b)).
- Authorized Wells Fargo users and delegates: if you allow someone else to access your accounts, you're responsible for actions taken through that access, including actions made through Wells Fargo AI-powered tools. (Sections 2(b) and 2(d)).
- Online statements and documents: we may send email notifications when statements and other account documents are available online. (Section 12).
- Paze information sharing: if you use Paze, some transaction information may be shared with Paze and participating payment networks to support features, offers, and incentives available through the service. (Section 10(c)).
- Account eligibility update: certain investment accounts serviced through Wells Fargo Clearing Services are now included in the definition of eligible accounts. (Eligible Accounts definition).
- Advance notice of changes: we'll provide advance notice if changes to the agreement may negatively affect you. (Section 24(a)).
- New service terms: added terms related to ExpressSend Mobile and Smart Start Banking. (Section 25).
