Wells Fargo Renewable Energy & Environmental Finance (REEF) provides tax-equity financing to utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects and is actively evaluating new asset classes that are now eligible for tax credits under the recently enabled Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) legislation. Additionally, REEF facilitates the sale and purchase of eligible tax credits made available under the IRA.
Currently, REEF is one of the largest tax equity investors in the market. Since its inception in 2006, REEF has developed deep expertise underwriting and managing renewable energy investments. REEF employs a comprehensive approach to evaluating credit, resource, technical, environmental, legal, regulatory, and tax risk. The REEF team is comprised of diverse and experienced professionals and focuses on building relationships with well-established developers/sponsors with large operating fleets and strong pipelines.
Wells Fargo has been an active tax-equity investor in the nation’s renewable energy sector, financing projects in 38 states and investing more than $18.4 billion in renewable energy projects.
