Quality Control / Re-verification

Quality control departments, auditors and similar departments that review booked records and files for the mortgage industry should use our Quality Control / Re-verification service. This service was created to allow Wells Fargo to assist this part of the industry with their review. If the information you submit does not match our records, you will be notified.

We will attempt to identify and correct mortgage requests submitted on a Quality Control Request form, but be aware that this will add several days to the response time for such a request.

Information provided

You will receive a confirmation of your documents’ validity. It is very important to include the account numbers and the documents — such as bank statements or previously produced VODs — to be verified.


$25 for each Verification of Deposit (VOD) we process.

Submitting a request   

To avoid processing delays, read important guidelines for completing a VOD request.

Complete the Quality Control Request form (PDF*) including account numbers and a customer authorization signed and dated within 14 months. Include your return fax information on the form so we can return your response as quickly as possible. For faster processing, please complete the form on your computer before printing.

Customer Authorization

The customer authorization must be specific to whom information can be released to, e.g., Lenders, Successors/Assignees, Agents for Quality Control Review, or Mortgage Guaranty Insurers.
