How to enroll

Step 1 – Contact us. Talk to your Wells Fargo banker to learn about the options available and select the one that best fits your needs.

Step 2 – Provide your beneficiary's information. Tell us who should receive the money (beneficiary) and how you want your beneficiary to receive the money (cash pick-up or deposit to your beneficiary’s account).

Step 3 – Send your first transfer. We’ll establish the transfer details to ensure your money is sent quickly and safely. The first remittance you send under each service agreement must be initiated in person at a Wells Fargo branch. Customers with an existing checking or savings account may be able to initiate their first Remittance by calling the Wells Fargo Phone Bank, subject to caller authentication requirements and additional fraud prevention controls. Subsequent Remittances may be initiated at a Wells Fargo branch, by calling the Wells Fargo Phone Bank, or through Wells Fargo Online® at wellsfargo.com. ExpressSend is not available on the Wells Fargo Mobile® app. Customers must use a desktop or laptop to conduct online ExpressSend transfers.

You must be the sole owner, a primary or secondary joint owner or have power of attorney on the funding account to use ExpressSend. If you are using a joint account to send Remittances, you should be aware that the Service Agreement is opened on an individual basis in your name only. If the other joint owners wish to send Remittances using the joint account, each joint owner must complete a Service Agreement.

Information required

When completing the ExpressSend Service Agreement, you must provide:

  • The name, address, and telephone number of your beneficiary, and the Remittance Network Member(s) to which your funds should be sent.
  • Your beneficiary’s full physical address, which must be located in the country to which your remittance is being sent. Post office box addresses are not allowed.
  • Your beneficiary’s telephone number, which must either be a number in the country to which your remittance is to be sent or a U.S. telephone number. You must also indicate whether the number is a mobile line or land line.

We will be unable to establish your Service Agreement if you do not provide this information.

Customers who are minors are not allowed to enroll in the Wells Fargo ExpressSend service. Many countries have restrictions that limit the ability of a minor to be the Beneficiary of a remittance transaction. The Sender must ensure that their beneficiary is eligible to receive the funds sent to the designated Remittance Network Member.

Important Information and Footnotes

This service is not available at Bodega Aurrera Express locations.

Any cash pick-up transfer not picked up by the recipient within 15 days for Bancolombia, Banco Davivienda, and Grupo Éxito, and within 30 days for all other receiving locations, will be canceled without notice. Unclaimed funds will be credited back to the sender’s funding account. If the funding account has been closed, a check will be sent to the sender’s most recent address on file.

It may take up to five business days to validate the beneficiary’s account information with the Remittance Network Member.

The credit to account or the cash pick-up delivery methods for remittances may not be available at all Remittance Network Members or locations. When sending money to an account, we will need the beneficiary’s qualifying deposit account number at the Remittance Network Member. When sending money for cash pick up, the beneficiary's name provided by the sender must exactly match the beneficiary's name on their government issued identification.

Disclosures

  • Due to unanticipated conditions such as natural disasters, civil disturbances, system issues, currency availability, local regulatory requirements, required receiver action(s), and/or location-specific security concerns, cash pickup transfers may not be available in certain receiving locations. If your recipient experiences any issues with their cash pickup, contact us at 1-800-556-0605.

  • In addition to the transfer fee, Wells Fargo makes money when it converts one currency to another currency for you.
