Transfer Between Accounts

Transfer money between your accounts without making a trip to the bank. Online transfers usually post on the same business day, so the money is there when you need it.
Make immediate transfers between your checking and savings accounts anytime. Make same-day or future payments to your Wells Fargo credit cards, home mortgage, and loans or lines of credit.
 
Make immediate transfers between your accounts anytime. You can transfer money from your checking or savings account to make same-day payments to your Wells Fargo credit cards, home mortgage, and loans or lines of credit. You can also make payments to your Wells Fargo credit accounts from your accounts at other banks by adding your other financial institutions to the list of your available accounts.

You can make one-time transfers or schedule them for a future date. You can also set up recurring transfers on a schedule you establish.

Transfer money amongst your accounts.  Choose a frequency and the amount you’d like to transfer.  Add a description to personalize your transfers.

To make a transfer, use the dropdown menus to select the account you want to transfer money FROM and the account you want to transfer money TO. All your Wells Fargo accounts are listed, along with those you’ve added from other financial institutions (click the Add your non-Wells Fargo checking or savings account link). Once you’ve added an account at another financial institution, it will remain on your list of available accounts — ready for transfers or payments.

Choose a frequency for making your transfer. Then complete the rest of the fields with your transfer details.

If you choose a recurring transfer, enter the start and end dates, and the amount you want to transfer. You can also choose to add a description.

Click Continue to go to the Verify screen, where you can review details of your transfer.

You'll be asked to verify all details are correct before you schedule your transfer. Once you submit your transfer you’ll receive a confirmation of your transaction.

From the main screen, click View/Edit to go to the Scheduled Transfers screen, where you can view or make changes to a scheduled transfer.
 

Send and Receive MoneyShow Details

 
Sending and receiving money with Wells Fargo is quick, easy and secure. Send money to friends and family with Wells Fargo accounts—and receive money from other Wells Fargo banking customers—without having to share any account information. An email address or mobile number is all you need. And starting December 2012 you will also be able to send money to friends and family with eligible deposit accounts at other U.S. banks and financial institutions.

It’s simple to send money.
Send and receive money easily using just the recipient’s email address or mobile phone number.
 
To add someone for the first time:

  1. From your Wells Fargo Account Summary page, choose Transfers.
  2. Select Send & Receive Money.
  3. Click on Add Recipient to enter the recipient’s information.
  4. Enter the name of the person you want to send money to.
  5. Select how you want to send it by using the dropdown menu.
  6. Enter the recipient’s email address, mobile number, or Wells Fargo Account Number.
  7. Click Save when you are done.
Once you add a recipient, they will stay on your available recipient list unless you choose to remove them.

To send money:

  1. On the Send Money page, select the account you want to send money from and the person you want to send money to using the dropdown menus.
  2. Enter the amount you want to send and an optional description.
  3. Click Continue to confirm your transaction details.
  4. Then verify your transaction by clicking Transfer.

Your recipient will receive an email or text message notifying them of your transfer and requesting that they register the email address or mobile number you have chosen, if they have not done so already. The notification will contain instructions on how to register. If your recipient does not register within two weeks, the money will go back to your account.

If you are new to the Send & Receive Money service, there is a quick sign up process when you navigate to Send & Receive Money. Simply review and accept the terms and conditions. Select the email addresses and mobile numbers you want to use, as well as the account you want to receive money into. Once you have enrolled, future money sent to you will be deposited into the account you selected.

Send & Receive Money is available in Wells Fargo Online Banking and Mobile Banking for your convenience.
