Transcript: How-to Send Money with Zelle

Learn how-to send money with Zelle®.

From the Account Summary page, hover over the ‘Transfer & Pay’ tab and navigate to ‘Send Money with Zelle®.’

On the Zelle® homepage, select the ‘Add Recipient’ link if you’re sending money to the person using Zelle® for the first time.

Note that you can find your previously saved recipients and select from the contact list to Zelle® money for easy access on this homepage.

Enter the recipient’s first and last name, an optional nickname, and the method the Zelle® payment will be delivered by into the fields in the modal window, and then select ‘Save & Send Money.’

Your recipient must be registered with Zelle® in order to receive the payment. You will be prompted with a pop-up message notifying you that the recipient must register with Zelle® in order to receive the payment if they are not currently registered.

Select ‘Continue.’

Select which account you want to withdraw the money from the ‘From Account’ drop-down and enter the Zelle® amount into the ‘Amount’ field.

Note that there is no transfer fee for using Zelle®.

Choose your delivery speed from the listed options and enter an optional memo in the ‘Memo’ field, and then select ‘Continue’ at the bottom of the page.

You will be directed to the “Send Money – Verify” page. Check that your Zelle® details are correct under the ‘Send Money- Verify’ heading, as payments cannot be canceled if sent in error to an enrolled Zelle® recipient. They may be canceled if the recipient has not yet enrolled with Zelle®. Once you have reviewed, select ‘Send Money’ at the bottom of the page to submit the Zelle®.

You will receive a notification under the ‘Send Money- Confirmation’ heading that your Zelle® was sent successfully, including the date and time.

You can view your Zelle® activity, list of recipients, and account summary by selecting one of the links at the bottom of the page. Select the ‘View Activity’ option to view your outgoing and incoming transfers.

To return to the Zelle® homepage, select the ‘Return to Zelle®’ link at the bottom of the Zelle® Activity section.

Here on the Zelle® homepage you can view outgoing and incoming transfers on the right side bar, edit and delete saved recipients, edit your Zelle® settings, and send another Zelle®.

Enrollment with Zelle® through Wells Fargo Online® or Wells Fargo Business Online® is required. Terms and conditions apply. Transactions typically occur in minutes when the recipient’s email address or U.S. mobile number is already enrolled with Zelle®. Available to almost anyone with a U.S.-based bank account. For your protection, Zelle® should only be used for sending money to friends, family, or others you trust. The Request feature within Zelle® is only available through Wells Fargo using a smartphone, and may not be available for use with all small business accounts at this time. In order to send payment requests to a U.S. mobile number, the mobile number must already be enrolled with Zelle®. Neither Wells Fargo nor Zelle® offers a protection program for authorized payments made with Zelle®. To send money to or receive money from an eligible small business, a consumer must be enrolled with Zelle® through their financial institution.
