Transcript: The Power of Partnership

[Amrit Walia, Regional Managing Director, Wells Fargo Private Bank]

Our team approach is what makes Wells Fargo special. It’s different than any other firm in this industry. When you meet with a client, your objective is to solve for the different issues that they have to help them live a better life. In order to do that, you need to bring a level of specialization to the table, where you can go deep on the different solutions. When somebody trusts you with their hopes, their dreams, their family, their business, their lives, you have to love that and you have to take it seriously and you have to dedicate yourself to that. And that’s what our team does.

[Sergio Iacovitti, Wealth Advisor]

There’s this one family that I’m thinking about particularly. The father, who is near and dear to my heart, he was like a second father to me at some point, we became extremely close. And there were certain things in his life that were important to him that he wouldn’t address with his children. Some of it had to do with business, specifically, a lot of it had to do with the wealth that the family had gained. The team approach was very important in this aspect because it is a large family and you need people that specialize in certain areas, whether it’s trust and estates, financial planning, the tax consequences that they may see. Those types of things are very important when it comes to a family like this because you can amass this tremendous wealth and, if you didn’t take correct steps to put certain things in place, a lot of it can disappear.

[Nicole Adler, Senior Wealth Planning Strategist]

I did work with one client that had a very specific number in mind that he and his wife wanted to leave his children upon their passing away, and they were very philanthropically inclined. They had a much larger estate than what they wanted to leave to their children, and so one of the solutions that we came up with was that they should start their philanthropy now by creating a family foundation where they could all put input into the types of organizations and causes that they truly believed in — and that also gave the kids the ability to give their input.

[Marc Campanaro, Senior Wealth Planning Strategist]

I spend a lot of time working with business owners to help them transition their wealth. We had a situation with a client who was getting up in age and he had family members, sons, who were running his business. And he was concerned that the advisors that he had around him at the time were not going to be able to grow with him and his family. Myself, our wealth advisor, and our investment manager laid out a plan for them. I’ve learned that teamwork is very powerful and very rare in this industry.

[Michael Erskine, Private Banker]

Every client that I’ve worked with so far here at Wells Fargo has had a favorable response to our team-based approach.

[Scott Barrington, Senior Investment Strategist]

There’s a lot of news outlets, a lot of video streams and media, so I help them quiet the noise. I help them to focus on what’s really, really important in their portfolio, what’s really important in the markets and the economy. And it’s really a big benefit to the clients to know what they need to depend on in order to have an appropriate portfolio, as opposed to what’s important to the news on that particular day.

[Amrit Walia]

My team here, at The Private Bank, partners with Wells Fargo Advisors.

[Raymond Vega, Financial Advisor, Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC]

When it comes to managing complex finances, there is no single solution for everyone. A new client working at Wells Fargo, they can feel comfortable knowing that they are working for a well-respected company, a company with a great reputation in the industry.

[Amrit Walia]

The beauty of this organization is that partnering is real, it’s an everyday thing, it’s what we do. And we do it because our clients need it. At the end of the day, we’re all working towards one goal and that is to help the individuals that trust us with their needs, their worries, their goals. It’s powerful, it’s really powerful.
