See Melinda’s thoughts on the Wells Fargo Private Bank difference

There are a few things that set Wells Fargo apart in my opinion.

I’ve been in the industry for over 30 years and financial views have changed dramatically during that time. In the past, wealth creators were typically unwilling to share their financials and estate planning goals with their families. I’ve definitely seen a shift in this thinking and The Private Bank has really been on the forefront of that change by adding a robust Family Dynamics offering that addresses these conversations, in a non-threatening family forum setting. We also have dedicated resources around socially responsible investing and philanthropy, both of which have been a huge success with the next generation of wealth creators.

Another big difference is the depth and breadth of Wells Fargo & Company partners. We can leverage Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Services offered by Wells Fargo Advisors to support mid-size companies. Also, we’re one of the only wealth management firms that has a dedicated team of planners and charitable specialists. It’s one thing for a wealth management firm to potentially obtain market returns, but what have we accomplished if we are losing that market appreciation to income or estate tax? I take a holistic balance sheet approach, including tax sensitivity, generational wealth transfer, and philanthropic interests.
