The William G. and Helen C. Hoffman Foundation awards grants to organizations that benefit the blind or for medical research for the prevention of blindness.

Requirements

  • To be eligible, organizations must qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service.
  • Applications must be submitted through the online grant application form or alternative accessible application designed for assistive technology users.
  • Any organization that has received a grant three years in a row will not be eligible for a future grant until one year after the three year period.

About the Foundation

The William G. and Helen C. Hoffman Foundation was established through the Last Will and Testament of Helen C. Hoffman for charitable, religious, scientific, literary, and educational purposes with a special interest in helping the blind and in medical research for the prevention of blindness. Mrs. Hoffman died in 1997, and she was predeceased by her husband, William G. Hoffman. She was a resident of South Orange Village, New Jersey.
