Transcript: 2-Step Verification

Adding a second layer of security, 2-Step Verification at sign-on.

With growing reports of security breaches worldwide, we understand that customers are concerned about how to help protect your identity and want more ways to help keep your data and financial accounts safe.

You want security options for your Wells Fargo accounts and we're here to help. Did you know that you can turn on a second layer of security by using 2-Step Verification when you sign on to Wells Fargo Online® from your desktop or mobile device? Here's how it works. Once you turn on 2-Step Verification, Wells Fargo will send a one-time access code by text or phone call at each sign-on to Wells Fargo Online. All you have to do is enter the code and once verified, you will have full account access.  Using 2-Step Verification at sign-on, along with a unique user name and password for banking activities, and keeping your mobile number current in online banking ensures we can communicate with you and helps lock out the bad guys.

Activating 2-Step Verification at sign-on only takes a couple of minutes. From your computer or smartphone, sign on to Wells Fargo Online. Navigate to the Security Center. Click 2-Step Verification at sign-on and follow the prompts to turn on this feature. 2-Step Verification is one of our many layers of security that work together to help safeguard your accounts.  So what are you waiting for? Sign onto Wells Fargo Online and go to the Security Center to get started.
