Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) today announced its small business Web site (http://www.wellsfargo.com/biz/ ) has been named as the top small business banking site in the Western Hemisphere by Speer and Associates, a leading financial services consulting firm based in Atlanta, GA. Speer and Associates selected Wells Fargo after conducting research on 107 commercial banks in the United States, Canada and major Latin American markets. Each bank was evaluated on four key categories: business development, value-added services, online deposit account features and products.

- Wells Fargo Business Online Banking, which enables customers to view account balances, review account activity, pay bills, apply for a loan online, transfer money, download transaction histories and access business checking and savings accounts
- Proprietary risk and fraud management technology integrated into person-to-person online payments
- OnlinePayroll by Wells Fargo and the SecureSource service that are part of a suite of solutions for businesses making payroll and receiving payments securely online
- Estore, which is the only e-commerce service in the marketplace that provides end-to-end Web site and development payment services
QuickBooks POS Merchant Service, powered by Wells Fargo Merchant Services, which builds on Wells Fargo’s existing, highly successful relationship with Intuit. This service gives small business retailers an option for accepting credit card payments at the point of sale and automatically loading those transactions from their QuickBooks Point of Sale software into their QuickBooks 2002 accounting software.
