BOISE — January 28, 2000
Wells Fargo donated $135,348 in 1999 to 46 different school districts and community organizations in Idaho to support a variety of educational, health, affordable housing, human services and arts programs. Groups in Boise that received a Wells Fargo grant last year include: Boise Public Schools Foundation, Discovery Center of Idaho, Friends of the Historical Museum, Habitat for Humanity, Idaho AIDS Foundation, Idaho Public Television, Neighborhood Housing Services, the United Way, and the YMCA.
Wells Fargo has 17 banking stores and 160 employees in Idaho.
"Donations are only one way we support our communities," said Jim Baldwin of Boise, Wells Fargo's market area manager for Idaho. "Our employees also volunteer their time and energies to a number of different community groups. We form partnerships with these organizations because we feel we can accomplish more together than if we were each working on our own."
