Map of New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota Invest Native is a $20 million philanthropic effort to support Native-led nonprofit organizations and the communities they serve in New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Funding priorities include housing access and affordability, small business growth, financial health, and sustainability and climate resiliency.

Invest Native pillars

  • Housing access and affordability – Counseling and education programs, housing and advocacy, new construction/rehabilitation/renovation, rental housing assistance, assistance for the homeless

  • Small business growth – Small business assistance, including technical assistance, debt and equity capital, and grants to small businesses

  • Financial health – Financial education and programs including individual development accounts and credit counseling

  • Sustainability – Sustainable finance and clean technology innovation, strengthening local climate resiliency strategies, and advancing climate justice

Wells Fargo announces a $20 million commitment to advance economic opportunities in Native American communities working with Native-led organizations. The Invest Native initiative aims to address housing, small business, financial health, and sustainability among Native American communities in Arizona, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. The program is designed as a grantmaking initiative — to support a more equitable and prosperous future for Native Americans.
