Wells Fargo Wallet® for AndroidTM Frequently Asked Questions

Wells Fargo Wallet® is no longer accepting new registrations. We will continue supporting existing Wells Fargo Wallet customers until later this year, after which time Wells Fargo Wallet will no longer be available. If you are an Android device user and interested in using your Wells Fargo cards in a digital wallet, we encourage you to add your cards to Google PayTM and/or Samsung Pay.

How do I get Wells Fargo Wallet for Android?

The Wells Fargo Wallet for Android is included in your Wells Fargo Mobile® app. You simply need to register for the wallet, and you’ll be set to tap and pay at millions of stores. To register for Wells Fargo Wallet, simply open the Wells Fargo Mobile app on your compatible Android device, tap the Wells Fargo Wallet banner and log in using your online banking credentials.

Where can I use the Wells Fargo Wallet?

You can use your Wells Fargo Wallet in millions of stores. Look for the contactless symbol at checkout.

Which devices are compatible with Wells Fargo Wallet?

Wells Fargo Wallet is currently only available to use with Android devices.

How to add your Wells Fargo cards to Wells Fargo Wallet for Android

How do I add my Wells Fargo cards to Wells Fargo Wallet for Android?

Because your Wells Fargo Wallet for Android is part of the Wells Fargo Mobile app, your active Wells Fargo cards will automatically display in the wallet. Simply tap Add next to the active cards you would like to pay with, and you’re all set.

Which Wells Fargo cards can I add to Wells Fargo Wallet?

You can add most Visa® branded Wells Fargo Debit and Credit Cards to Wells Fargo Wallet. Wells Fargo Wallet does not support cards from other financial institutions or card networks at this time.

How do I set my Wells Fargo card as my default card in Wells Fargo Wallet?

The first card you add to your Wells Fargo Wallet will become your default payment method. You can easily change the default card at any time. Simply go to Manage Wells Fargo Wallet to manage your cards.

Can I add multiple Wells Fargo cards to Wells Fargo Wallet?

Yes. You can add multiple Wells Fargo Credit and Debit Cards to Wells Fargo Wallet.


Is Wells Fargo Wallet safe and secure for making payments? How does Wells Fargo help protect me against fraud?

The safety and security of your account information is a top priority.

When you pay with your Wells Fargo card in your Wells Fargo Wallet:

  • Your actual card number is replaced with a unique digital card number, which means businesses do not see or store your full card number.
  • Wells Fargo transactions are monitored by our 24/7 risk and fraud detection systems.
  • Purchases made using your Wells Fargo card are protected by Zero Liability protection, so you will be reimbursed for promptly reported unauthorized transactions

What if I find unauthorized charges on the card I use with Wells Fargo Wallet?

Your Wells Fargo Debit and Credit Cards automatically come with the built-in security of Wells Fargo’s fraud monitoring and Zero Liability protection. If your card or its number is ever lost or stolen, you will be reimbursed for unauthorized transactions when you report them promptly.

  • To dispute a debit card transaction, call 1-800-TO-WELLS (1-800-869-3557).
  • To dispute a credit card transaction, call 1-800-642-4720.
  • To dispute a transaction on a business card, call 1-800-225-5935.

What if my Wells Fargo card is lost or stolen?

Please call Wells Fargo immediately and mention that you added your Wells Fargo card to Wells Fargo Wallet. We will close your card so that no more purchases can be made. The closed card will no longer be displayed as an eligible card in Wells Fargo Wallet. Your replacement card will be displayed as an eligible card in Wells Fargo Wallet once the card has been activated.

What if my device is lost or stolen?

If your device is lost or stolen, in addition to notifying your mobile carrier, please call the Wells Fargo number on the back of your card promptly and mention that you added your Wells Fargo card to Wells Fargo Wallet, so that we can disable your card for use with Wells Fargo Wallet.


Does Wells Fargo charge anything to use Wells Fargo Wallet?

No. Wells Fargo does not charge a fee for customers to use Wells Fargo Wallet.
