How to add your cards to Apple Wallet

How do I add my Wells Fargo cards to Apple WalletTM?

There are two ways to add your Wells Fargo cards to Apple Wallet, through the Wells Fargo Mobile® app or directly through the Apple Wallet. To learn how to add your eligible Wells Fargo cards directly through the Apple Wallet, see the Apple Pay instructions.

How to add your cards through the Wells Fargo Mobile app (iPhone)

  1. In your Wells Fargo Mobile app, tap Menu in the bottom bar, select Card Settings, then tap Digital Wallet.
  2. All eligible digital wallets will display. Tap Apple Pay.
  3. All eligible cards will display. Tap the Add to Apple Wallet button next to the card you would like to add. Follow any additional instructions to verify and activate your card. Your card is now ready for use with Apple Pay.

Which Wells Fargo cards can I use with Apple Pay?

You can add most Visa® and Mastercard® branded Wells Fargo Debit and Credit Cards to Apple Pay.

How do I set my Wells Fargo card as my default card for use with Apple Pay?

The first card you add to Apple Wallet will be your default card. To make your Wells Fargo card your default card, go to Settings, Wallet & Apple Pay, then tap Default Card selection and choose your preferred Wells Fargo card as your default. You can also tap and drag your preferred card in the Wallet app to the front to set your default.

Can I add multiple cards to Apple Wallet?

Yes, depending on the model, you can add up to 12 eligible cards on each Apple Pay enabled device. To learn more about the number of cards you can add, visit Apple Pay Support. Also, devices do not share cards, so if you would like to use the same card on two different devices, you will need to add the card on each device separately.

Security

Is Apple Pay safe and secure for making payments? How does Wells Fargo help protect me against fraud?

The security of your account information is a top priority.

When you pay with Apple Pay and your Wells Fargo card:

  • Your actual card number is replaced with a unique digital card number, which means businesses do not see or store your full card number.
  • All Wells Fargo transactions are monitored by Wells Fargo’s 24/7 risk and fraud detection systems.
  • Purchases made with your Wells Fargo card are protected by Zero Liability protection, so you won't be held responsible for promptly reported unauthorized transactions.

Why am I being asked to verify my Wells Fargo card?

For security reasons, we may need you to provide additional verification to add your eligible Wells Fargo card to Apple Wallet. If necessary, Wallet or the Apple Watch app will tell you how to verify your card.

What if I find unauthorized charges on the Wells Fargo card(s) I use with Apple Pay?

Your Wells Fargo Debit and Credit Cards automatically come with the built-in security of Wells Fargo’s fraud monitoring and Zero Liability protection. If your card or its number is ever lost or stolen, subject to certain conditions, you won't be held responsible for unauthorized transactions when you report them promptly.
