Where can I find more information about Android Pay?

To learn more about Android Pay, please visit the Android Pay site.

Why is the transaction amount in my Android Pay transaction history different from what’s in my Wells Fargo Online® or Wells Fargo Mobile® account detail?

If you make an Android Pay purchase with your card, the merchant may request authorization for an initial amount and send us the actual transaction amount later for payment. The initial authorized amount appears in your Android Pay transaction history, but the actual transaction amount is deducted from your account.

This happens frequently in places where:

  • You can add a tip (restaurants, salons)
  • There can be a significant difference between the amount that's authorized initially and the actual transaction amount (hotels, car rental agencies)

For most card purchases, we receive the payment request, including the actual transaction amount, within 3 business days of the transaction.

Keep track of your transactions and ensure you have sufficient funds in your accounts to cover the final payment.

Where can I view transaction history made with Android Pay?

On Android phone:

  1. Open the Android Pay app
  2. Touch the card you used to pay
  3. Find and tap your transaction

On Android Wear smartwatch:

  1. On your smartwatch, open the Android Pay app
  2. Tap a card
  3. Swipe up on the card to view your transaction
Near Field Communication (NFC) is a technology that enables devices in close proximity to communicate; this technology is used to allow NFC enabled mobile device to communicate with a payment system used by millions of merchants.
