If a property is potentially affected by an environmental hazard, you may be asked to provide a signed copy of an Environmental Hazard Notice issued by the appropriate environmental quality agency.
The notice provides information on natural or man-made hazards that exist on or close to the property. Examples include:
- Hazardous wastes
- Toxic substances
- Radon gas
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Urea-formaldehyde insulation
Tips for a smoother application process
- Make sure documents are clear and legible.
- Don't alter any pages (no strikethroughs, cross-outs, etc.).
- Send all pages, even the blank ones.
