Lost or Stolen Wells Fargo Visa® Gift Card Questions

What should I do if my gift card is lost or stolen?

Call Customer Service toll-free at 1-877-855-8719 to cancel the lost or stolen Wells Fargo Visa Gift Card as soon as you can. The phone line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience.

Is there a charge for issuing a replacement gift card if it’s lost or stolen?

Yes. A $7.50 fee per card applies for all replacement cards, and a $15.00 fee per card applies if you want a check issued before the gift card expiration date (which will effectively “cash out” the gift card). The fees are deducted from the remaining value on the card. Please contact us at 1-877-855-8719, and we will issue you a replacement card.

What if I want a replacement gift card issued in a different name than the original one I purchased?

All replacement cards are issued in an individual’s name (personalized). Even non-personalized cards (that read “GIFT RECIPIENT”) can only be replaced by a personalized card. The standard replacement fee applies to these cards as outlined above.

How are replacement gift cards and checks shipped?

Both replacement gift cards and checks are individually mailed via U.S. mail to the recipient’s home address. Note that gift cards cannot be mailed to post office boxes.
