Why are you changing the Wells Fargo Rewards® program?

We are enhancing the Wells Fargo Rewards program with new features and redemption options that give you greater flexibility with your rewards. We’re adding online auctions, the ability to “gift” your rewards to another rewards customer, a broader spectrum of cash redemption options, unique experiences and charitable contributions just to name a few.  And, if you have a Wells Fargo credit card that earns in cash rewards or rebates, the full catalog of redemption items are now available to you.  The improved program is easy, convenient, and rewarding.

Will there be any change to my earnings or rewards balance?

No, the program enhancements will not impact the amount of your rewards balance or the earning rates for any of our card products.

What is rewards currency and how do I earn it?

Earnings within the Wells Fargo Rewards program are collectively called “rewards currency”.  Rewards currency is earned in points, cash rewards or rebates based upon your credit card product.

If you have a Wells Fargo credit card which earns in points, you will generally earn 1 point for every $1 in net purchases (purchases minus credits/returns), rounded to the nearest whole dollar.  If you have a Wells Fargo credit card which earns in cash rewards or rebates, you will generally earn 1% for every $1 in net purchases (purchases minus credits/returns), rounded to the nearest one cent ($.01).  Rebates will be earned as cash rewards.  Some products may have different earn rates.

What is the Earn More Mall® feature?

Is there a limit to the amount of rewards currency I can earn?

No.  There is no limit to the amount of rewards currency you can earn.

What updates will there be to the current rewards catalog?

We are making updates to our catalog.  The minimum gift card denomination will be $25, and updates are being made to the variety of merchandise items available for redemption.  We are also adding even more cash redemption options and expanding our travel options. The new catalog should be available for your review beginning on September 9th.

What types of redemption items are available?

The Wells Fargo Rewards program offers a wide variety of redemption items including travel, gift cards, cash redemption options, brand name merchandise and charitable contributions.  Whether your rewards currency is points, cash rewards or rebates, all of these redemption options are available to you.  Auction opportunities are also available on a regular basis where you can bid rewards currency for unique items and experiences.

What choices are available for cash redemption options?

Cash redemption options can be made in $25.00 increments and you can choose to redeem for a check or for an account credit.  If you choose an account credit, you may direct your cash distribution to be deposited to an eligible Wells Fargo checking or savings account, or as a credit to a Wells Fargo credit card account, mortgage loan, home equity loan or a personal Wells Fargo loan.

How do I redeem rewards currency?

You have two options:

  • One-time manual redemption:  You may make a redemption at any time based upon your available rewards currency balance.
  • Automatic redemption:  You may choose to set up an automatic redemption, which occurs automatically when your available rewards currency balance reaches a pre-determined threshold.  You may turn off or redirect an automatic redemption at any time.  Only one automatic redemption option per rewards account can be set up at a time.  You may choose to receive a:
    • Merchant gift card
    • Account credit, where your cash distribution is deposited to an eligible Wells Fargo checking or savings account, or as a credit to a Wells Fargo credit card account, mortgage loan, home equity loan or a personal Wells Fargo loan.
    • Check (must be mailed to the address on file)

Can I use a combination of rewards currency and a credit card or debit card to make a redemption?

Yes.  You have the ability to split payment between rewards currency and a credit card or debit card  (e.g. Wells Fargo credit card), depending upon the redemption item selected.  A minimum of 100 points or $1.00 in cash rewards is required to be redeemed (depending upon your account’s rewards currency) for eligible redemption items.

How does the online auction work?

Participating in an online auction is fun and easy!  Each month, unique special offers such as brand-name merchandise, concerts, shows and sporting events will be auctioned off. You must have an email address on file to participate and you will be contacted by e-mail if you have the winning bid.  You can also choose to be contacted by e-mail if you are outbid so you can re-bid if you would like.

Can I gift my rewards currency to someone else?

Yes.  Beginning September 9th, you can gift your rewards currency to another Wells Fargo Rewards program customer.   The recipient of your rewards currency gift will receive a confirmation communication alerting them to the gift and the identity of the sender.  You will also receive a communication confirming the gift.

What is the “Wish List” and how does it work?

You may select up to 10 items for which you would like to redeem once you have accumulated the required amount of rewards currency and add them to your “Wish List”.  The Wells Fargo Rewards program website will display progress bars so you can quickly see how much rewards currency has been earned toward any wish list item at any time.  When you have accumulated sufficient rewards currency to redeem for any of your wish list items, you will receive a notification.

How do I view the Wells Fargo Rewards program Terms and Conditions?

How do I access my rewards account or check my balance?

Beginning on September 9th, you can access your Wells Fargo Rewards account(s) in several easy ways:

  • Log in to Wells Fargo Online Banking at WellsFargo.com and select credit card account from the Account Summary page.  Your rewards currency balance will be displayed within the Reward Summary box.
  • Or log in directly to MyWellsFargoRewards.com.  Your user name and password will be the same as your Wells Fargo Online Banking user name and password. If you have not signed up for Wells Fargo Online Banking, you will be prompted to do so.
  • You may also access your rewards account online via your mobile device by logging into MyWellsFargoRewards.com.
  • You may also call the Wells Fargo Rewards Service Center at 1-877-517-1358 to have your balance provided by the automated telephone system or to speak with a Rewards Representative.

I have a Wells Fargo business credit card and a Wells Fargo consumer credit card and both of these credit cards are enrolled in the Wells Fargo Rewards program.  Can I combine my points to redeem?

Yes.  You may access your Wells Fargo Business Card Rewards® or your Wells Fargo BusinessLine Rewards® program website by visiting WellsFargoRewards.com and following the prompts on the screen. When you are ready to redeem, you can transfer points to or from any points-based rewards account with points earned on your business credit card.  As of August 18, please call the Wells Fargo Rewards Service Center at 1-877-517-1358 to initiate the points transfer.  Cash Reward and Rebate balances are not eligible for transfer to/from a business rewards account.

Will I receive more information about the new Wells Fargo Rewards program changes?
