How to Set up Direct Deposit


So, you’re ready to set up Direct Deposit – good choice!

This is the easiest way to have your paycheck or federal benefits automatically deposited into your account. That way, you’ll have immediate access to your funds.

To get started with Direct Deposit, just take the following steps.

First, talk with your employer and fill out their direct deposit form, — with your routing and account numbers. These can be found on the bottom of your checks.

If you’re new to Wells Fargo and don’t have your checks, you can find your account and routing numbers on the documents we gave you when you opened your account. Your account number can also be found on your monthly statement. Your routing number can easily be found Online. Here’s a tip: To look up your routing number, you’ll need to know the state in which you opened your account.

If you’re still having trouble, visit a branch and we can help you find this information. Or, we can print a pre-filled direct deposit form for you.

Once everything is set up, your first direct deposit should appear in your account within one-or-two pay cycles. It’s that easy!
