The APY (Annual Percentage Yield) is a percentage rate that reflects the total amount of interest paid on the account, based on the interest rate and the frequency of compounding for a 365-day period. Your account statement will include the APY earned on your savings accounts and interest-earning checking accounts for the period covered by the statement.
This account is ideal if you have total direct deposits of $1,000 or more each statement cycle, or $7,500 combined minimum deposit balances.
Ways to waive the monthly service fees on your Wells Fargo At Work Checking Package

Waive the $12 monthly service fee with online-only statements ($14 with paper statements) on your Wells Fargo At Work Checking account when you open it as a complete packageand have one of the following:
Qualifying direct deposits totaling $1,000 or more into your Wells Fargo At Work Checking account, OR
$7,500 minimum combined deposit balances
If are unable to meet any of the Checking Package requirements noted above, you are still eligible to reduce your monthly service fee by $3.00 when you have qualifying direct deposits totaling less than $1,000 per statement cycle.
Waive the $5 monthly service fee on your Way2Save Savings account when you have one of the following each statement cycle:
A $300 minimum daily balance, OR
At least one automatic savings option, OR
If the primary account holder is under the age of 18 (19 in AL)

A qualifying direct deposit is a direct deposit of your salary, pension, Social Security, or other regular monthly income, electronically deposited to your Wells Fargo At Work Checking account by your employer or an outside agency. Transfers from one account to another or deposits made at a banking location or ATM, do not qualify as a direct deposit. Transfers from one account to another, or deposits made at a banking location or ATM do not qualify as a direct deposit.
Includes linked consumer checking and savings accounts, Time Accounts (CD’s) and FDIC-insured Retirement accounts.
Minimum opening deposit may vary from $25 to $50 based on where the account is opened; in a Wells Fargo store or business banking location, Wells Fargo Online® or Wells Fargo Phone BankSM. Interest earned on entire daily collected balance on days balance is $500 or more.
On the accountholder’s 18th (19th in AL) birthday, this account is automatically subject to the monthly service fee then in effect for the Wells Fargo Way2Save Savings account.
A qualifying non-civilian direct deposit is a direct deposit of your salary or pension, electronically deposited into your account by DOD/DFAS or VA/VBA or U.S. Department of the Treasury.
