About Our Development Programs

As a professional development program participant, you’ll work within a specific Wells Fargo business group. Over the course of your program, you’ll develop a deep understanding of our products and services and the strategies that support them.

When to Apply

We generally accept applications for our fulltime undergraduate professional development programs in September and October each year. The application timeline varies by program, however, so please visit our Undergraduate Programs page for more specific information on each program.

Candidates are typically considered for our undergraduate development program summer internships in January and February each year. Please visit the Undergraduate Internships page for more information.

If we will be interviewing on your campus, please apply to the program through your campus career center as well as through our website. Visit your campus career center to find out about Wells Fargo’s information sessions and interview schedules.

Interview Process

Candidates applying for our professional development programs will go through an initial first-round interview either on campus or by phone. These interviews focus on the skills you would bring to the program as well as your leadership abilities. Those chosen to participate in a second-round interview are typically flown to the city of employment for a series of interviews with managers in the line of business.

After You Join

Undergraduates who join one of our professional development programs will gain a mixture of hands-on and classroom training, often with exposure to multiple roles and lines of business. During the program, you’ll participate in regular networking, training, and team-building events with people from your class, other groups, and senior management.
