Possible Reason

Wells Fargo's server is down.

Solution

Try again later.If the error persists, refresh the financial institution information stored in the QuickBooks data file:

  1. From the QuickBooks Banking menu, choose Set Up Online Financial Services, and then choose Online Financial Institutions List.
  2. Scroll through the list of financial institutions on the left and select your financial institution.
  3. Click Apply Now.
  4. After the page for your financial institution is displayed completely, close the window by clicking the X in the upper right corner of the browser directly above the QuickBooks logo. You do not need to fill out the application. Once the transmission of online information is complete, the Updating Financial Institution Information window will close, and you should be able to complete your online banking.

This error is the result of the ID and/or PIN stored in Quicken being incorrect, or in the incorrect case.

Message Received

Possible Reason

Your transfer amount exceeds your account balance. You do not have sufficient funds.

Solution

Reschedule the transfer for a different amount or fund your account and reschedule transfer.

OL-233

Message Received

You have entered an incorrect PIN several times in a row. For security, your account is now locked.

Possible Reason

You have entered the wrong ID or PIN.

Solution

If you have changed your PIN from the original PIN sent to you from Wells Fargo when you signed up for the service you can reset the pin by calling Wells Fargo's customer service at 1-800-956-4442 if you still have the original PIN. If you no longer have your original PIN, please call Wells Fargo's customer service at 1-800-956-4442 to obtain a new PIN.
