Continuing to strengthen its Employee Benefits division, Wells Fargo Insurance, part of Wells Fargo & Co (NYSE: WFC), announced today a new regional structure for its Employee Benefits (EB) National Practice. As part of Wells Fargo Insurance’s ongoing strategy to serve middle and upper middle market customers in key markets, its EB practice is now based in three primary regions across the U.S.: North, South and West.
“Wells Fargo Insurance, including the Employee Benefits practice, is focused on achieving continued growth,” said Tim Prichard, head of Wells Fargo Insurance’s Employee Benefits National Practice. “This new regional structure will strengthen partnerships across the bank and drive consistency as we continue to help our customers address the issues impacting their businesses, such as healthcare reform, by delivering the employee benefits solutions they need.”
The Practice’s new regional leadership includes more than nine decades of combined experience in the employee benefits industry.
- Mike Mascolo is the EB national practice leader for the north based in Madison, NJ. A 7-year company veteran, Mascolo was previously the EB regional practice leader for the northeast, and has also held business development and client leadership positions at Cigna Health Care and John Hopkins Medicine. The North region combines the following upper Midwest and north Eastern states: CT, DE, DC, IL, IA, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SD, VA, VT, WV, WI.
- Peter Moore is the EB national practice leader for the south based in Jacksonville, FL. Moore recently served as the EB regional practice leader for the southeast and has been with Wells Fargo since 1999. Prior to joining the company, he was an employee benefits consultant at Johnson & Higgins. The South region includes the following states: AL, AR, CO, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX.
- Robert (Bob) Volkel is the EB national practice leader for the west based in Torrance, CA. Volkel held a co-national employee benefit practice role for several years prior to heading Wells Fargo Insurance’s San Francisco Bay Area Operations in 2012 and is a 27-year company veteran. The West region includes the following states: AK, AZ, CA, HI, ID, MT, NE, NM,NV, OR, UT, WA, WY.
Wells Fargo’s Employee Benefits National Practice helps customers with financial underwriting and insurance, health and productivity risk management, benefits communication and administration, and compliance with healthcare reform.
