SAN FRANCISCO - May 16, 2012
AdvantageVoice, the Wells Fargo Advantage Funds blog, has been named among the top five blogs in the asset management industry by consulting firm kasina in its 2012 study of social media leaders. This is the second consecutive year that the blog, which was launched in January 2011, has been recognized by kasina as a top social media site.
“This recognition demonstrates our commitment to engaging in dialogue with our clients and readers around the unique economic and market perspectives of our investment professionals,” said Tom Steffen, head of e-business for Wells Fargo Advantage Funds. “It also complements the February launch of our mobile website and our commitment to helping our clients access relevant and timely information to support their informed investment decisions.”
In its study of social media, kasina evaluated 53 asset management firms and rated the blogs of 16 of those organizations using a three-part methodology that scored blogs on the availability, quality of features, and user experience. The purpose of the AdvantageVoice blog is to engage Wells Fargo Advantage Funds clients in conversation and help provide timely access to the fund family’s investment insights and expertise. AdvantageVoice visitors find information on the latest market events, stocks, and bonds; economic insight; On the Trading DeskSM podcasts; and videos from Wells Fargo Advantage Funds portfolio managers and industry experts, as well as the blog’s usual dose of offbeat topics and humor—all while being invited to join the conversation and share their thoughts, stories, and experiences.
“A large part of why the blog is successful is that our writers and contributors can turn their ideas into engaging content, writing about all corners of the market, investing, and economics in an interesting way that keeps our readers coming back,” said Jeremy Ryan, managing editor of social media for Wells Fargo Advantage Funds. “We consistently keep our readers in mind, whether they are investors in our funds or advisors looking for ideas to share with their clients. We genuinely want to hear from and respond to them through this increasingly popular and valuable communication forum.”
