Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) said today the company will donate $200,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to support relief efforts caused by Hurricane Irene.
“We want to express our sympathy to all of the communities on the East Coast that have been affected by Hurricane Irene, and the devastating floods that resulted from the storm,” said Tim Hanlon, President of the Wells Fargo Foundation. “We hope this donation will aid the American Red Cross’s immediate relief efforts to help families recover during this difficult time.”
Wells Fargo has contributed $1.3 million to the American Red Cross in 2011 to aid disaster relief efforts to help communities recover and rebuild in the United States and internationally.
