We are committed to hiring and retaining military veterans, veterans with disabilities, and active military personnel. We support our uniformed services team members who return to work after active duty with a variety of jobs, confidential resources, educational information, and career guidance.

Sixty-percent of our veteran team members have been with the company for five or more years.

In the first half of 2014, the company hired more than 520 veteran team members.

Today, Wells Fargo has more than 7,400 self-identified veteran team members, including over 220 active military service members on leave. And Wells Fargo’s commitment to veterans doesn’t end once a job offer is made. The company strives to create a culture of caring that supports veteran team members throughout their careers.

Support for veteran team members

Wells Fargo is committed to providing recruiters, hiring managers, and interviewers with the tools and knowledge needed to successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans. As a result, the company has established partnerships with several of the leading military hiring organizations and offers many online and virtual training courses. In 2013, more than 750 team members participated in a four-part learning series. This year, the company launched another learning course called Enterprise Value of a Veteran.

The Veterans’ Team Member Network’s mission is to support and educate members of our Wells Fargo community who share an interest in veteran matters. The group networks with team members and the community through outreach efforts to promote greater veteran awareness and share opportunities that enhance the professional growth and development of its membership.

When veteran team members need to take extended leave to fulfill military-related service, the company will reemploy team members upon their return, consistent with the provisions of USERRA.

Each year, the company contacts all self-identified veteran team members to share information about Wells Fargo’s career development process, tools, and resources. The company is dedicated to helping veteran team members grow and advance their careers based on their individual goals and aspirations.
